Human of the Week – Tommy Hunter

Riding the euphoria of yet another win by the Texas Rangers, I am inspired to begin a new recurring feature: Human of the Week.  And it’s no coincidence that I mentioned the Rangers, because the first-ever winner of this prestigious award is none other than their hottest starting pitcher at the moment: Tommy “Big Game” Hunter.

Mere hours ago, on his 24th birthday, the rotund right-hander won his 5th decision of the season without a loss.  The scales may show him approaching 300, but his ERA is below 2.00…what’s not to love about that???

So, congratulations to our inaugural Human of the Week, Tommy Hunter!
