A Sweltering Evening at the Old Ball Game

July 26, 2008

Susan got us tickets to this evening’s Texas League tilt between the visiting San Antonio Missions and our “hometown” Frisco RoughRiders.

The temperature at first pitch was around 103, and it’s still probably 99 in the shade as I sit here in the left field bleachers in the 2nd inning.

One of the Missions hit a home run last inning that landed three rows right in front of me. It landed so hard that it bounced off the first row seat right back onto the field.

The highlight of the evening was getting to take Randy and Brian down on the field before the game. They got their picture taken with a pitcher named Michael Schlact, and we walked right past hot SS prospect Elvis Andrus.

Anyway, the iPhone is starting to melt in my hand, so I’d better go.

Might these clouds be outer bands from the remnants of Hurricane Dolly?

Centralization is Key

The great thing about WordPress is also the worst thing about WordPress: you can create as many blogs as you want.  Well, every time I come up with a blog name I like, I register it and often even switch over to it.  As a result, I have left many blogs in my wake, and their scattered carcasses are starting to get hard not to trip over.

So, I figured why not centralize everything under one name – my name.  The URL will always be bobbland.wordpress.com, but I’ll still have the freedom to rename the site whatever I want without forcing people to change their navigation.  You know, because I have SO MANY readers…haha.

I’ll link to all my old and alternate stuff from here, but this is the new HQ for all things Bob.
