LOST Thoughts: Sundown

March 3, 2010
tags: ,

  • Sayid seemed surprised to discover The Temple was actually being used as a filming location for the martial arts epic “Enter the Dogen.”
  • Speaking of Dogen, I’m glad his fixation on the baseball was finally explained, because I was starting to wonder if it was autographed by Hideki Matsui or something.
  • So, how long after you kill somebody IN The Dirty Hot Tub of Eternal Life do they come back from the dead…or DO they???
  • Did everybody catch that blink-and-you-missed-it cameo by Dr. Jack at the hospital? I wonder if we’ll soon find out that Dr. Juliet is also working at the flash sideways St. Sebastian.
  • Is it just me, or has the role of Miles been reduced to generic status update guy? Seems like all he ever does anymore is play games to pass the time between requests from major characters wanting to know what’s been happening while they were gone. At least he’s delivering these updates in true Miles style (“Crazy Aussie chick’s back, but she’s still hot.”).
  • Excuse me, Claire, but while you’re down there do me a favor and PUT THE LOTION IN THE BASKET!
  • What are we to make of a Korean hit man being bound and gagged in a walk-in refrigerator? You guessed it…it’s COLD JIN TIME AGAIN! (apologies to Mssrs. Simmons and Stanley).
  • As enjoyable as it was to see Keamy finally get his come-uppance, I can’t help but wishing it would have been Ben pulling the trigger.  Sure, Ben’s a despicable a-hole and all that, but he’s OUR despicable a-hole.
  • I have a theory about why Sayid’s plunging of the dagger didn’t kill The Locke-ness Monster: Sayid is now inhabited by Jacob, who can’t kill The Man in Black.
  • When everyone in The Temple was running through the halls in a full panic, I almost expected Ilana, Lapidus and Sun to pull off The Smoke Monster’s mask and for him to say, “And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn’t for you meddling kids!!!”

I’d buy your “Jacob-Is-In-Sayid” theory, if we didn’t hear from Ilana last week that Smokey can’t inhabit/impersonate two bodies at the same time. Then again, who says they both play by the same rules? Damned show.

      GOODPOINT

      That was supposed to read:

      [robotgreggo]GOODPOINT[/robotgreggo]

But I used the greater-than/less-than signs the first time. My bad.

        Bob,

Pay closer attention, Miles is listed in the credits as “generic status update guy” I did catch Jack in the Hospital.

I will never forgive you for the Cold Jin comment, and I told KISS where you live.
