LOST Thoughts: The New Recruit

April 21, 2010

  • It’s been years since I’ve seen it, but I have no recollection whatsoever of Burt Reynolds being in The Lawnmower Man.
  • Come to think of it, the only thing separating LOST from a Burt Reynolds movie is the presence (or lack thereof) of Ned Beatty squealing like a pig.
  • As Desmond was luring Claire into his lawyer’s office, I correctly guessed his lawyer would turn out to be none other than Ilana.  That makes me roughly 1-for-867 at such guesses since the series began.
  • I’m anxious to hear the reading of Christian Shephard’s will.  I hope he at least left the wetbar to his widow.
  • When Sun was being wheeled into the hospital and expressed dismay at seeing Locke immediately to her left, was she “recognizing” him as The Smoke Monster?
  • There has to be some direct correlation between Sun (and her unborn baby) both surviving the gunshot wound and her being reunited with Jin on the island.  I hope she isn’t about to take another bullet – this time at the hands of the world’s surliest and most homicidally-inclined geophysicist, Zoe.
  • Right after Jack walked the plank on the S.S. Sawyer, I thought for a brief moment there that Kate was going overboard to join him.
  • Call me crazy, but I have a hunch that Sayid just might be fibbing to The Locke-ness Monster about killing Desmond.
  • I found it very interesting that The Locke-ness Monster admitted to Jack that he had previously taken the form of Jack’s Dad.  In upcoming episodes, he will also admit to posing as Boone, Eko’s brother, Hurley’s bald pal from the looney bin, Frogurt, Vincent, and Dogen’s baseball.

just when you think you have a handle on this damned show, WHAMMO! This shit happens.
The Burt Reynolds movie reference, and “Who the hell is Anakin?” made me laugh.

Still Laughing at Libby Libby Libby….

It took me foreeve to reqalize who the lawyer was.

Hmmmm my theory that the survivors are somewhat aware of the flash sideways is playing out.

Is Locke a good guy after all???

I’m having the hardest time figuring out whether Widmore is good or bad. Same with “Locke.” Glad someone else out there is old enough to remember the Libby’s jingle.
